This policy is written in plain language on purpose. It covers the Setrlink website and platform, and it applies whether you are a delivery company subscribing to us, a merchant or driver using the apps, or a customer ordering from a storefront built on Setrlink.
1. Who we are
Setrlink is a delivery software business operating from Jamaica. We are the data controller for the information described in this policy. You can reach us at info@setrlink.com or on (876) 875-7267.
2. What we collect
| Your account details | Name, email address, phone number and business details you give us when you apply or sign up. We need these to create and run your account. |
| Order information | What was ordered, the delivery address, the price, and the status of the delivery. This is what makes the platform work. |
| Driver location | While a driver is on shift with live tracking switched on, their app sends GPS positions so the company and the customer can see where the delivery is. It stops when the driver goes offline. |
| Payment information | We record that a payment was made and how much. Card details are handled by the payment provider and never stored on our servers. |
| Messages you send us | Contact form submissions, emails and WhatsApp messages, so we can reply and keep track of support history. |
3. Website analytics & cookies
On our public marketing pages we count visits so we can see what is working. This is deliberately limited, and we want to be specific about it rather than hide behind the word “analytics”:
- A cookie named
sl_visitorstores a random identifier so that one person opening four pages is counted as one visitor rather than four. It holds no name, email or any other detail about you. - We record which page was opened, when, and which link or advert brought you to us (the referring website and any campaign tags in the address).
- We work out an approximate country and city from your IP address. To do that, the IP address is sent to a third-party lookup service (ipwho.is) and the resulting town and country are stored. We do not store your IP address itself against your visit.
- We use the Meta Pixel on our marketing pages, which reports page views and enquiry events to Meta (Facebook and Instagram) so we can measure our advertising. Meta processes that data under its own privacy policy. You can limit this in your Facebook and Instagram ad settings, or with a browser that blocks trackers.
None of this happens on a delivery company’s storefront checkout. It is limited to our own marketing pages.
4. Why we are allowed to hold it
We rely on three grounds under Jamaica’s Data Protection Act. Contract — we cannot run your account, take an order or complete a delivery without the relevant details. Legitimate interests — keeping the service secure, preventing fraud and understanding which pages and adverts work. Consent — for marketing emails and advertising cookies, which you can withdraw at any time.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information to anybody, ever. We share it only with the suppliers needed to run the service:
| Supabase | Hosts our database. Your data is stored there. |
| WiPay / Stripe | Process card payments. They receive the payment details; we receive only the result. |
| Email provider | Delivers order receipts, account emails and any marketing you have opted into. |
| Mapbox | Draws the maps and works out delivery routes and distances. |
| Meta | Receives advertising measurement events from our marketing pages, as described above. |
| ipwho.is | Turns an IP address into an approximate town and country for visitor statistics. |
We will also disclose information if the law or a court in Jamaica requires it.
6. Delivery companies on the platform
Setrlink is white-label software. Each delivery company running on it controls its own customers, merchants, drivers and orders, and is the data controller for that information — we hold and process it on their behalf. One company can never see another company’s data.
If you ordered from a storefront and want your details corrected or deleted, contact that delivery company directly. If you cannot reach them, write to us and we will help.
7. How long we keep it
Account and order records are kept while the account is open and for up to seven years afterwards, which is what tax and accounting rules require. Driver GPS positions are kept for a short operational window and then removed. Website visit statistics are kept in aggregate. Marketing lists are cleared as soon as you unsubscribe.
8. Your rights under the JDPA
You have the right to:
- ask what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy;
- have anything wrong corrected;
- ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep;
- object to your information being used for marketing, and unsubscribe at any time;
- ask us to restrict how we use it while a complaint is being sorted out;
- complain to the Office of the Information Commissioner in Jamaica.
Write to info@setrlink.com and we will respond within 30 days. There is no charge.
9. Security
Connections to the site use HTTPS encryption. Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text. Database access is restricted, and each company’s data is separated at the database level so it cannot leak between businesses. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever affected your personal information we would tell you and the Information Commissioner promptly.
10. Changes & contact
If this policy changes we will update this page and change the date at the top. Questions, requests or complaints go to info@setrlink.com or (876) 875-7267.
Cancelling and refunds
Every plan is month to month. There is no lock-in contract and no cancellation fee. Cancel at any time and your service runs to the end of the month you have already paid for; we do not bill you again after that. Because every plan starts with a free trial long enough to set the whole platform up and test it, part-month subscription fees already paid are not refunded. The full terms are in the SaaS Agreement.
